Recognize the Signals

Burnout doesn't announce itself. It accumulates.

A knot in your stomach that starts Saturday evening. The weekend never feels long enough to recover from the week.
You used to be sharp. Now you reread the same email three times. Decisions that used to take minutes take hours.
Not sad, not happy. Just... flat. The things that used to excite you about your work feel like obligations.
You're performing, but it costs everything. Every meeting, every deliverable drains you to empty.
You've started mentally checking out. You see problems everywhere, solutions nowhere. "What's the point?" is your new default.
You don't know who you are outside of your job title anymore. Your entire identity has been consumed by your career.

Take the Reboot Check-In

How burnt out are you, really?

10 quick questions. No email required. Honest answers only — no one but you sees the result.

Question 1 of 10

I dread Monday morning by Sunday afternoon.

Answer based on the last 30 days.
The Reboot Path

Recovery isn't a sprint.
It's four moves.

Most people try to fix burnout by doing more. The Reboot path is the opposite — four honest moves, in order, that actually work.

01

Recognize & Assess

See the signals your body's been sending — Sunday dread, cognitive fog, identity erosion — and take the Reboot Check-In. Find out where you really are, not where you've been pretending to be.

Take the check-in →
02

Connect & Heal

Healing doesn't happen in isolation. Pick a path that fits where you are: a Rebuilder Circle, a chapter, a workshop, a mentor. Start showing up in a room where you don't have to perform.

Pick a program →
03

Practice & Sustain

Real recovery is small and daily — not a 6-week sprint that wrecks you when it ends. Build the rhythms, the boundaries, and the small rituals that make the new way of working stick.

04

Recreate & Rebuild

You don't just want to survive the old life — you want a new one. Redefine what success means, what you want your days to feel like, and who you want to be next. Then pay it forward.

About reboot

reboot is a community for burnt-out professionals who are ready to stop surviving and start rebuilding. We run local chapters, expert-led programs, 1-on-1 mentorship, and open office hours — designed for people who don't have time for another obligation.

Burnout isn't a personal failing. It's the predictable result of a broken industry. We're building the spaces, rituals, and people who help you recover — and stay recovered.

01

The Problem

Burnout recovery doesn't happen in your inbox. It happens in a room. But group therapy feels too clinical, and another Slack channel feels too thin. People in tech need something honest, structured, and small enough to actually show up for.

02

How It Works

You're placed in a circle of 6–8 professionals at similar career stages, facing similar pressures. You meet weekly for 8 weeks, 90 minutes a session, in person or virtual. A trained Reboot facilitator anchors the conversation — your job is just to show up and tell the truth.

What You Leave With

A small set of practices for sustainable performance, a clearer sense of your own boundaries, and 5–7 people you trust who actually know what you're going through. Not therapy. Not networking. Community with a purpose.

Workshops

Pillar 02 · For Teams
01

The Problem

The companies most likely to talk about wellbeing are the ones least likely to fix the conditions causing the harm. Generic wellness webinars don't move the needle. Meditation apps don't fix toxic culture. Teams need direct, honest tools that name what's actually happening.

02

How It Works

Half-day interactive sessions, brought onsite or virtual, designed for engineering teams, product orgs, and leadership groups. Built on real research and real tech-industry case studies — not the same recycled wellness deck. Available as a one-off or a quarterly cadence.

4-hour format Onsite or virtual Custom to your team
03

What Your Team Leaves With

A shared vocabulary for the warning signs, a manager-level playbook for protecting team energy, and a culture where boundary-setting reads as professional — not as flakiness. We follow up at 30 and 90 days so the work doesn't just live on a whiteboard.

01

The Problem

After a draining week, the last thing you need is another commitment. Another booking. Another sign-up. You need a place where you don't have to perform, where "I'm fine" doesn't have to be the answer, and where showing up is enough.

02

How It Works

Weekly open hours at every Reboot chapter. Walk in any time during the window — Wednesday mornings at 7:30am or Friday evenings at 5:30pm. Trained facilitators are there, but there's no agenda, no curriculum, and no expectation that you'll share. Good coffee. Quiet company. People who get it.

03

Why It Matters

Office Hours are the lowest-pressure way to step into the Reboot community. Most people who eventually join a Circle or get matched with a mentor started here — at a kitchen table, talking to no one in particular, finally not pretending. You don't need to be in crisis. You just need to be honest.

Pillar 04 · Biweekly, In Person or Virtual
01

The Problem

Therapy helps you understand the past. A manager helps you ship the next thing. But there's a third conversation almost no one has — with someone who's been where you are now, came out the other side, and is willing to tell you the truth about what helped and what didn't.

02

How It Works

You complete a short intake about your role, your industry, and what kind of support would help most. We pair you with a Reboot mentor — a professional who's experienced burnout, done the recovery work, and is now living and working sustainably. 30-minute biweekly sessions, in person at your chapter or fully virtual.

Who Your Mentor Is

Senior engineers, founders, designers, and product leaders who've burned out — sometimes more than once — and rebuilt. They're not therapists and don't pretend to be. They're proof that recovery is possible, and a sounding board for the calls you can't quite make alone.
